What can I say about my darling Pippin?
I knew I would never be able to replace Bella so I wanted a puppy who was very different but the trouble was that I still wanted to have a cocker spaniel as they are my favourite breed of dog. So Pippin came into my life! Apart from the breed there is no other similarity whatsoever!!
Having experienced “puppyhood” with Bella I knew that I wouldn’t have any problems.
How very wrong I was!!!
I have to be honest and say that he was a total nightmare!! I had no flowers left in the garden, nothing in the house unchewed. It was like living in a house with a constant whirlwind. I was totally exhausted.
I wondered during that first year whether or not I could possibly keep him -
However I persevered and how very glad I did.
I took him to Charlie's dog training centre in Soham for training and Charlie’s wife Jo came to help me at home and between us all we managed to channel all his energy.
He is a very intelligent dog and although he is still a lively and energetic dog and I just love him to bits and definitely could not live without him. We have such a lot of fun together.
