Bella
These pages are my tribute to my little Cocker Spaniel 'Bella', who sadly passed away on 28th April,2008.
Bella was the love of my life! Her arrival was definitely a dream come true for me.
As a family we had always owned cats and of course I loved them very much but I knew that in my heart I really wanted a dog and that dog had to be a golden cocker spaniel. Nothing else would do! I set my heart on that while I was still at school as a child.
The fact that I lived alone and was out all day meant that I couldn’t fulfil my dream until I retired. When people asked me what I was going to do when I retired, my answer was always the same ‘Get a dog’
So I retired in 1996 and Bella was born on Aug 23rd of that year and she came to share my home with me at the end of October and so began a love affair which kept growing stronger and stronger.
Through the internet Bella was known by many friends throughout the world. She also appeared on television local news as being one of the first dogs to swim in Charlie’s hydrotherapy pool near Ely.
We had the wonderful Newmarket heath all around and went for many great walks.
